I have just completed yet another ITIL Foundations program

and it still never ceases to amaze me about the broad and diverse IT backgrounds that the participants have…

 

One participant is a software vendor (CRM) and is here to better understand not only the product he sells but also his customers’ needs ( a perfect example form a few blogs ago when I talked about Suppliers being ITIL® aware).  His feedback listed the benefit of introducing ITIL® to non-ITIL®ized business as 1 of 3 most useful things he has learnt from this program…. Comforting…

 

Another is a part of a very small IT team in a small retail chain.  Although she acknowledges the challenges of implementing ITIL® in a small business – she is excited and motivated to go back and champion some strategies for implementing ITIL®

 

For the rest who already have ITIL® as part of their daily lives, it has given them so many “ah hah” moments – because now they finally understand what everyone else has been saying.

 

I think that it is these ah-hah moments that I personally enjoy most – seeing the penny drop! – How much value can you place on a penny dropping? (now that is deep!)

 

(gotta say that getting consistent 4s and 5s out of 5 is a personal enjoyment moment as well )!
