During the course of ITIL® training, an IT professional has to take up three basic ITIL® exams: Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management, Practitioner Certificate in IT Service Management and Manager’s Certificate in IT Service Management. The Office of Government Commerce has recognized two examination institutes namely ISEB and EXIM that conduct ITIL® certification exams.

The Manager’s Certificate in IT Service Management certifies that the holder has a competence in overall management of the Service Desk, the 10 core disciplines of IT Service Management and their interrelationships and interfaces. To take this ITIL® exam, you must have 5 or more years of IT experience and Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management.
