ITIL® Process Diagram
The ITIL® process diagram that has been proposed by OGC is regarded as the primary reference for other models and studies. You should be aware of the Jigsaw Diagram that is the first relevant diagram.
The ITIL® Process Diagram has been created with the help of Service Management organizations and user groups. This Jigsaw Diagram has the following five major elements:
The business perspective
Management of the applications
Delivery of the IT services
Support of the IT services, and
Management of the infrastructure
The second diagram is the ITIL® Diagram-BS15000. The elements in this diagram are almost same but the difference lies in the details and information. Both these models try to promote principles of best practice for IT Service Management.
