MCP In MS Windows XP

The Microsoft Certified Professionals MCP is one of the most sought after certified professionals in the IT industry today.  The exam which tests a candidates skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Windows XP Professional include the Exam numbers 70- 270, 70-271 and 70-272.  With an MCP in Windows XP, you are assured of a fruitful IT career because potential employers, clients, and business partners are assured that you are capable and knowledgeable in the Microsoft Windows XP environment.

Exam 70-270 is an exam for Windows XP Professional which tests the individuals skills and knowledge in installing, configuring, and Administering the XP software and is applicable to candidates of medium to very large computing environments using the Microsoft Windows XP Professional.

Exam 70-271 tests a candidates knowledge in supporting and helping troubleshoot Microsoft Windows XP Professional or Home Edition Operating System.  Experience in using applications included in the OS is a necessary requisite in this exam which includes Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, and could also include Microsoft Office Software and other Microsoft productivity tools and software.  Resolving issues via telephone, internet or remote connection will be included as part of the exam package and should therefore be included in the preparation for the exam.

Exam 70-272 is an exam to test a candidates knowledge in supporting users and troubleshooting desktop applications and software in the Microsoft Windows XP OS. This is basically the same with exam 70-271 and is generally combined and integrated with the said exam. 

All exams recommend a minimum of one year experience in the networking environment including the implementation and administration of any desktop operating system or platform.
