Expanding in tandem with the growth of the Information Technology industry is the CompTIA organization, which is a currently well-known provider of IT professional certifications. The Computer Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) is celebrating its silver anniversary this 2007. In their search to find better ways to do business, five representatives of micro-computer dealership worked together and successfully guided CompTIA to its record 25 remarkable years in the industry. In fact, today its membership is no longer just 5 businesses but has grown to 22,000 member companies in over 100 countries. It has continued to maintain its commitment to help individuals to obtain skills and credentials for a productive career in IT.
A CompTIA certification is a one-time certification. It means, once you pass the certification exam, you are then certified for life. In line with this, CompTIA has made available test vouchers for the prospective examinees. The test vouchers are bundled with preparation materials and sample questions to assist the student or trainee in passing the exam. All CompTIA exam vouchers can be used in Canada, Puerto Rico and the United States in any Prometric or VUE testing centers. These test vouchers have an expiry date of only up to one year. CompTIA certifications are based on key areas and so the vouchers are packaged according to these areas. These are vouchers in CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, i-Net+, Linux+, Server+, Project+, CTT+, HTI+, CDIA+, and RFID+ .
There two kinds of CompTIA test vouchers: namely, the paper vouchers and the electronic vouchers. Paper vouchers are the regular paper we physically handle and it is packaged with other materials. Electronic vouchers are simply a list of numbers which are given either verbally or by e-mail. Discounted vouchers are available to members of the CompTIA. Information regarding memberships is available at www.comptia.org.
