The Growing Statistics in Podcasting Awareness

It was in the year 2004 when the term podcasting was first used and released in the market.  Many people were amazed about how Curry was able to conceive such a fresh and novel idea.

From then on, the word podcasting has become a household term.  People who are inclined to using the Internet and are music lovers were practically amazed to realize how good and effective this whole podcast technology was.

Due to this, many podcast experts have tried to study and evaluate how the podcast technology steps the ladder of success every year.  One of the things that these people are concerned about is how aware people are becoming about the presence of podcasting technology.

There were collected pieces of data that have been captured as benchmarking tools.  The years 2006 and 2007 have been the great years were people have become more aware about the existence of podcasting in the online community.  Comparatively, the year 2006 resulted into 22% only out of 100% who have heard about podcasting.  Statistically, this is quite an unimpressive figure to have.  In the year 2007, there was an increase of 15% in the figure resulting to 37% of the 100% total figure.

If we are to interpret the figures that were gathered, the podcast still gained a massive interest from the people during the initial stage when it was launched. However, on the following years, the appeal of podcasting to the online community has become desperately low.  This statistical results prompted major podcasters to come up with new and extremely novel ideas to get the attention of online users.
