Two Easy Steps to a WordPress Video

Having a WordPress blog means you get to enjoy many blogging privileges. If you want to make your blog a little bit better, you might want to consider adding a video to your WordPress blog as well. Putting one up is not as difficult as it may appear to be. With a little help and guidance, you could be well on your way to a better blog on WordPress.

The first step you need to take is to prepare your site for it. There are lots of plug-ins that may be used to embed flash video. You can choose WP-FLV or FLV Embed for it. You could visit the site and study how the plugin works before you download it. Once you have that application, you can unzip the file and put it in a WordPress folder.

Next, you can choose the task manager and select the options for your flash plugin application. A default folder may be used for this as the place to upload your files. If you plan to have several streaming videos, then the Flash player will require you to upload a thumbnail file. This is because it does not have a preview mode.

As soon as you upload the video, you will then insert a tag. This tag will be included in your post where the video will be located. The ID number of the video you want can be found in the Media Center folder. Lastly, do not forget to type everything in uppercase otherwise it will not work at all.
