Virtualization of the Linux OS

Linux is a name in the computing industry that has gained wide popularity in field of operating systems.  Linux is an operating system that has been strongly competing with its counterpart – the Windows. However, because of the known strength and reliability of the Linux Operating System, it has successfully made a name on its own and has gathered its own targeted clients in the market.

Although the Linux OS is very strong and robust, it is still capable of bending its robustness to fit into the latest technology.  Just like any other operating systems (Solaris, Windows XP, 2000), the Linux OS is also compatible to be virtualized.  It actually allowed this virtual thing technology to be part of its features.

The virtualization of Linux OS is basically the same as the other OS virtualization procedure.  There is nothing extra ordinary and significantly new with the process.  However, with Linux virtualization, there are something new that can work very advantageously to your computer system and to your line of work.  Below are just some of them:

a. With Linux virtualization, there is an improved utility value to your operating systems.  Particularly, the utilization of the operating system is radically felt to be different and improved because of the migration process becoming simplified, the pooling procedure comes very easily, and the presence of provisioning feature.
b. With Linux being virtualized, there is a less need for resources to be managed because the Linux acting as the host operating system does all the management of the resources that are attached with it.  It may mean managing other operating systems up to the extent of managing all other resources which include the devices and the whole computer system.

Linux is working not just an OS, more to that it works as a supervisor of the whole computer system. It is from there where the robustness comes in.
