I recently started down the path of ITIL v3 after frustrations about the lack of processes in my current environment. I have been in IT administration for a couple of years now and have encountered numerous deficiencies surrounding Service Management, and It management in general. My pursuit of ITIL certification is rooted in the belief that it takes more than just the technical understanding/ability to deliver superior services, but knowledge and wisdom of the entire body of processes that allows for IT to work effectively and efficiently.
The information provided within these pages provide a very clear picture for the reader to see and understand how these processes work and the benefits that they produce. This book was easy to understand and combined with the online course enabled me to pass my ITIL V3 Foundation exam first try.
The material within the book is easy to understand and is very well presented.

The book did a good job explaining everything you need to know in order to pass Foundations. The eLearning supplement definitely helped solidify the information conveyed in the book. The authors present the information in a really easy to understand manner that gets right to the information and concepts you need to know. I recommend reading the book twice and sitting through the eLearning once. (Posted on 2/1/11)

I purchased the ITIL product from the Art of Service and was very impressed with the content. The access to their knowledge base website was easily obtainable through the appropriate security steps and was quick to get my account up and running. There is a wealth of ITIL information on there and I am confident that this is going to help me significantly in my quest to complete the full ITIL Certification programme.
This is a good stepping stone in your ITIL qualification track and a much cheaper alternative to taking time off work to complete an intensive 3 day course which as a contractor would have cost me the £500 + for the course as well as 3 days lost earnings.
I will definitely be looking to purchase additional products from this company in the future as the quality is high.
