IT Service Management training can be pursued via the EXIN organization which is authorized to administer accreditation exams in this field by the OGC of the UK. You can seek to be accredited in IT Service Management by training for either the Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management, training for the Practitioner’s Certificate in IT Service Management, or training for the Manager’s Certificate in IT Service Management.

The reason you should seek accreditation with EXIN is because the OGC authorized EXIN to administer these ITIL®-related accreditation exams anywhere in the world for anyone who needs it. At the level of the Practitioner’s Certificate in IT Service Management, and the level of the Manager’s Certificate in IT Service Management, accreditation becomes compulsory. This means if you are a training provider who is offering or intends to offer courses leading to these two certificates, you need to undergo accreditation yourself first.

Incidentally, not all training providers are qualified to offer courses for all three certificates in IT Service Management. It is a fact that there are training providers are qualified to offer training leading to the Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management, or for the Practitioner’s Certificate in IT Service Management, or for the Manager’s Certificate in IT Service Management. So you need to ask your training provider of choice what certificate they are accredited with exactly so that you are not wasting your time by training for the wrong certificate.
