State of play: Develop experience managing and using a variety of Data Management tools (Metadata Repositories, Data Catalogs, Data Governance Toolsets) and other relevant data management tools.

Yes, but: Participate in the development of architectures, strategies, and policies around data governance, including master data management, metadata management, data quality and data profiling.

How it works: Be sure your workforce is involved in data modelling, data architecture, D and A technology architectures, use of analytical tools to provide business insights, data governance.

Between the lines: Make sure the Data Governance Administrator works with the Data Steward to implement and maintain technical solutions in support of established practices, policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.

Go deeper: Ensure you work with the business teams to establish processes, procedures and internal controls used for the detection and correction of data quality issues.

Under the hood: Advise on various projects and initiatives to ensure that any data privacy or security items are identified, communicated and managed to ensure adherence with the Enterprise Data Governance established standards.
