Sometimes it just feels like you’re herding cats – or trying to hold on to something slippery…  it just doesn’t want to go in the direction you want. So frustrating, yet very much part of a normal business day.

In this case I’m talking about trying to find out how mature our business processes are. You want to follow a data driven improvement cycle RDMAICS (Recognize, Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control and Sustain) to help create structure and clarity to everybody involved in the process.

It’s just so hard to get people to focus – everybody has their own opinions and many people tend to go off on their own tangent, derailing the entire process and causing you to lose precious time.

But what if there was a way to use people’s opinions in a positive way? A way that actually helps the assessment process?

That’s exactly the question we asked our team when we created the Self Assessment Toolkits.

By providing you with a list of questions that are categorized in RDMAICS chapters you can focus the discussion on what really matters. And the best thing is – you’re asking everybody on the team for their opinion. They are heard and their opinions matter. Each questions is answered on a grading scale like this:

“In my personal opinion / in my belief the answer to this question is clearly defined”

1 = not at all

5 = totally
