MCITP 70-640 Exam is a Technology Specialist (TS) exam that is being offered in different languages. The MCITP 70-640 exam is intended for IT professionals who are working in the computing environment of medium-sized to large companies. The candidate should have an experience implementing and administering a network operation system that has 250 to 5,000 users. It should also have three or more physical locations and domain controllers and also has network services and resources. He should have been working in this environment for a minimum of one year.
What are the skills being measured in this exam?

This exam is meant to measure the ability of the candidate in terms of accomplishing technical tasks such as the following.

1. Configuring domain name system for active directory, which includes configuring zones, configuring DNS server settings, and configuring zone transfers and replication. This covers 16% of the exam.
2. Configuring the active directory infrastructure, which covers configuring a forest or a domain, trusts, sites, Active Directory replication, global catalog and operations masters. This covers 25% of the exam.
3. Creating and maintaining Active Directory objects such as automate creation, maintenance of Active Directory accounts covers 24% of the exam.
4. The rest of the exam covers the maintenance of the Active Directory environment (13 percent), configuration of Active Directory Certificate Services (13 percent) and configuration of additional Active Directory server roles (9 percent).
