ITIL Foudation : The ITIL Foundation Complete Certification Kit gives you a solid foundation for passing the ITIL Foundation exam but not for mastering ITSM. This book nevertheless is still a great resource. The book covers the five phases of IT Service Management: Service Strategy Service Design Service Transition Service Operation and Continual Service Improvement. It goes over basic terminology the ITIL certification paths and ISO/IEC 20000 certification paths. There are some weak points however. The glossary lacks many ITSM terms such as SLR (Serivce Level Reuirements) SIP (Service Improvement Plan) SDP (Service Design Package) SFA (Sevice Failure Analysis) etc. Also the practice exam questions at the end of each chapter are too elemental. These questions do not resemble the actual ITIL exam questions and need strenghtening. The figures in the book despite making the point require some enhancements. All in all the ITIL Foundation Complete Certification Kit is a good buy. You can also gain free access eLearning and get a another book for free from the publisher. In essence you can kill several birds with one stone. If you want to pass the ITIL Foundation exam which has a 65% minimum passing grade (26 out of 40) you will need another aid The ITIL Exam Prep.
