ITIL Foundation Handbook : I was looking to get a ITIL 3.0 foundation certification to enhance my knowledge of best practices of IT departments. This book was well organized and had a chapter on each of the five ITIL 3.0 disciplines from start to finish.starting with service strategy which talks about services and budgeting continuing to service design which delves into SLA’s and determining how services are going to be delivered. Moving on to service transition which talks about desgn testing documenting and transitioning services into production the book also talks about service operation which is relevant in monitoring services offered within IT and finally Continual service improvement tieing all of the services together pinpointing useful metrics that will aid in improving services within your IT department. I took the ITIL foundation exam and passed with a 95 out of 100 utilizing this book only. I now feel more confident in applying for mid level management jobs with this certification and knowledge. I recommend this book to anyone looking to better understand and improve the day to day functions and seervices of their IT department.
