ITIL® service support is one of the disciplines in the IT Infrastructure Library. It is the practice of those disciplines that provide improved IT services. The main purpose of ITIL® service support is to ensure that the customers are provided correct services that are necessary for smooth sailing of business. To provide appropriate services to the customers, it focuses on establishing six support disciplines in an organization, which are:
