For more than two decades now, CompTIA or the Computing Technology Industry Association has been helping thousands of IT professionals and hundreds of companies to validate an individual’s skills by issuing CompTIA certifications. The Information Technology exams that they give out range from specializations in hardware, servers, networking, e-business, Internet, project management, security, home technology, Linux and other related fields. The basic goal of CompTIA is to promote the growth of the IT industry, as well as the IT professionals and this is done by setting industry standards through the certifications that they issue to successful examinees.
As a means to reach this goal, they have organized the CompTIA Technology Learning Group, an organization which has more than 350 companies as members. Taking its cue from the parent organization which is CompTIA, the CompTIA Technology Learning Group aims to improve and support the IT industry’s training community. Basically, their goal as a trade or industry group is to develop the best practices within the IT industry. They are also going for the promotion of professional development, the definition of training and learning standards, and facilitation of opportunities in networking. Aside from that, the group also advocates legislations which support technology learning. To reach these objectives, the CompTIA Technology Learning Group holds conferences where they discuss sales and business management, instructor development and customer partnership. As a whole, the group is committed to developing further the IT industry where all of their member companies will surely benefit.
