Regulation (EU) 2024/1083 (the European Media Freedom Act, EMFA) establishes a common framework for media services in the internal market and amends the AVMSD (Directive 2010/13/EU). It entered into force on 7 May 2024 and applies from 8 August 2025 (with Articles 3, 4(1)-(2) and 6(3) applying from 8 November 2024).
