Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 (the Machinery Regulation) is the EU horizontal regime for machinery, related products and partly completed machinery placed on the Union market. It entered into force on 19 July 2023 and applies from 20 January 2027 (3.5-year transition for the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, which is repealed from that date).
