What is EU AI Liability Directive?
The EU AI Liability Directive was a Commission proposal (COM(2022) 496 final) for a Directive on adapting non-contractual civil liability rules to artificial intelligence. It aimed to harmonise procedural rules for fault-based civil-liability claims arising from damage caused by AI systems, complementing the AI Act and the revised Product Liability Directive.
